Through almost two decades of innovation and design excellence, pilla marketing communications has never lost sight of the fact that we are, at heart, a comunications company and that its mission is to get its client's message in front of a desired market or audience.

Founded in 1987 as Michael Pilla Design (MPD), the firm provided a wide range of graphic design services such as packaging, editorial developement, corporate communications and sales collateral. MPD designed and produced two national magazines for teens (Latingirl and Real), corporate communication pieces for PricewaterhouseCoopers and branding and packaging for the Chelsea Brewing Company, part of the Chelsea Piers Sports and Entertainment Complex.

One of the first design firms to "go-digital", MPD bought its first MAC in 1987 and started offering digital design and production services immediately thereafter. One of the first design firms to "go-cyber", MPD branched into web site design and development in 1997.

In 2001 the company was reformed as an internet marketing firm and renamed Pilla Marketing Communications (PMC). Today the firm has expanded into such areas as search engine optimization, web site design, web site development, e-mail marketing, programming, digital media and consulting and continues to take on print assignments in support of internet marketing and branding campaigns.
